Attention, Moms: Use Your Sunday to Take Control of Your Week! | Sandi Parkey Pink Zebra Independent Consultant
Whether you have a 9-to-5 job outside the home, work from home or are a Pink Zebra consultant, you can probably use a little organization to get your week started right. And it all starts with one day—Sunday!
Easy Like Sunday Morning
Who is tired of always having a case of the Mondays every time they roll around? Wouldn’t it be nice for once to wake up on a Monday, ready to go and tackle the world?
Let’s take a look at some ways we can start utilizing our Sundays to set ourselves up for a more productive and less stressful week.
First, get dinners for the week out of the way. By meal prepping on Sunday, you no longer have to worry about what to make throughout the week or what to cook for dinner at the last minute when you are stuck in a late meeting.
Plus, when you prepare your meals, you can use the healthiest ingredients. You won’t have to worry about driving through at an unhealthy, calorie-filled fast food restaurant in order to get dinner on the table by 5 p.m.
Second, you want to make sure you are getting enough sleep each night, but especially on Sunday evening.
You need to get at least seven to nine hours of quality sleep each night in order to wake up refreshed and ready to go.
Start a bedtime routine by shutting off all electronics about an hour before bedtime; burning your lavender, stress-free or other favorite Sprinkles scent; and just taking some you time to relieve the stress of the day and transition into a good night’s sleep.
Finally, create your to-do list for each day of the week. Write down everything you need to do or hope to accomplish every day so that nothing falls through the cracks.
This gives you a chance to see if your to-do list is heavy on tasks one day but light another. If there are days like this, you can move certain items on each list around so that the days are more even. No need to stress yourself out on more days than needed!
