Enjoy a Spring Without the Stress | Sandi Parkey Pink Zebra Independent Consultant

The sun is shining. The birds are chirping. The stress is brewing.

OK, that last item just don’t belong!

April is Stress Awareness Month. I don’t know about you, but it seems that with a new season also comes added stress.

Rather than let the stress build up until you burst, let’s take a look at ways you can handle the stress of life head-on.

Explore Ways to Handle Stress

One of the first things you want to do when it comes to learning ways to prevent stress is making sure you are ready for any stress that might come your way—both in mind and body. This is where self-care comes in.

When we are not taking time for our mental and physical health, we are already setting ourselves up for failure when it comes to be able to handling stress in a peaceful, healthy manner.

Therefore, you want to make sure you are doing things throughout the week that make it possible for you to take care of you! Make sure you are following a healthy diet, getting enough sleep at night and exercising most days of the week.

Remember, you cannot pour from an empty cup, which is why self-care is so important.

In addition, you may want to look at your current job as to why you might be more stressed.

Is work your main source of stress? Is your job bringing you more bad days than good? Perhaps it is time to change careers!
