Have you looked in your kitchen cabinets lately? Be honest, how many colanders have you collected over the years that have found a home in your kitchen cabinets? Kill two birds with one stone by using some of your colanders not for cooking, but as planters. With a little spray paint, some dirt and your favorite flowers, that colander can be converted into a planter in no time.

Also, while in your kitchen, see what old dishes are taking up space in your cabinets. Instead of throwing them away, use them to give the birds a brand new feeder!
