It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like...the Holidays! | Sandi Parkey Pink Zebra Independent Consultant

While fall has just begun, it’s already time to start getting excited about what’s ahead this winter—such as holiday parties and holiday lights galore!

How do you plan on decorating for the winter season? I have a few tips for getting started…and don’t forget those Pink Zebra accessories!

‘Tis the Season for Decorating

While you might not be ready to put up your Christmas tree, that doesn’t mean that you cannot make small moves toward decorating for the winter season.

Let’s take a look at some ways you can start preparing your home now for winter wonderland:

Start Neutral

When you start off with a neutral palette, it allows you to then add color and various other decor into your room.

Therefore, think white, off-white, eggshell or beige when it comes to setting your base colors. Those colors are ones that can give your home a fresh look while also allowing you to add different styles, colors and textures into your home without clashing.

Mix Things Up

Just like you need to get enough fruits and vegetables into your diet, you also need to gather a mixture of fruits and greens into your home decor—such as with the mixture of pine and golden pears!

In addition, consider adding in some winter metals like antique gold or brass, which can really help to add a unique look to your home decor this winter.

Think Cozy

In preparation for colder days, you want to make sure your house is filled with warm comfort this winter, which means lots and lots of pillows and blankets!

Consider adding cozy textures like wool knits, fluffy blankets and pom pillows into your home so that you have a place to relax after a long day at work or somewhere to enjoy a cup of hot chocolate and a holiday movie!
