It's Time to Celebrate the Moms in Our Lives | Sandi Parkey Pink Zebra Independent Consultant
“There’s no way to be a perfect mother and a million ways to be a good one.”—Jill Churchill
It’s beginning to look a lot like…Mother’s Day! Do you have your plans set for the day?
Although Mother’s Day might only be a few days away, there are still plenty of things you can do in order to prepare for the celebration. Let me help!
Since social distancing is still a part of our daily life, you might not be able to create the grand celebration you want for your mom. However, that doesn’t mean you can’t make the day special for her.
Let’s take a look at some ways you can show your mom love and attention on her special day:
Breakfast in Bed
Start your mom’s day off with a smile by bringing her breakfast in bed. You can make her favorite breakfast or even try out a new, delicious recipe, and bring it to her on a tray with some of her favorite Sprinkles!
If your mom isn’t big on breakfast or you do not have confidence in your cooking, even bringing her a cup of coffee or tea to start her day with a flower can bring a huge smile to her face and make her feel special.
Day Off
You get a day off work, but you never truly get a day off of “mom duties.” The truth is most moms don’t want a day off necessarily from being a mom— they want a day off from the chores of being a mom, such as doing the laundry, cooking cleaning and chauffeuring.
Give the mom in your life a day off from her normal activities by conquering the tasks yourself for the day so that she doesn’t have extra for the day after Mother’s Day.
Take care of the cleaning, the laundry, the cooking and any other chores she has for the day so that she can truly have the day off to just relax and not worry.
Spend Time Together
Finally, the gift that never goes out of style for your mom on Mother’s Day is you! Especially as you get older, you naturally spend more time with your friends and less with your mom. While she is teaching you to be more independent, it is still hard for her to see her baby grow up.
No matter what your age, your mom wants time with you. Take time to spend with your mom today. You can play board games, watch her favorite movies and even go down memory lane by looking through photo albums.
While Mother’s Day might be celebrated nationally one day a year, why not celebrate your mother multiple times throughout the year? Fortunately, there are Sprinkles and Shades for every season. Check out the current Spring 2020 Sprinkles and Shades collection on my website.
