Ladies, It's Time to Take Care of Your Heart | Sandi Parkey Pink Zebra Independent Consultant

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, heart disease is the leading cause of death among American women. That’s cause for concern.

Ladies, it’s time we start taking care of our hearts, and one way we can do that is by better managing stress.

Enjoy a Stress-less Life!

As women, we have full plates. On any given day, we’re moms, wives, daughters, caregivers, employees and even bosses. No wonder our stress levels are high, and our risk of heart disease is going up!

Let’s make ourselves a priority starting today and be committed to lowering our stress levels.

First, it’s important to fit exercise into your daily routine. It’s a known fact that physical activity can help reduce stress in a person’s life.

Exercise leads to the release of endorphins that can help improve your mood, as well as act as a natural pain killer. Plus, exercise can help you to get a good night’s sleep, which can also help you handle stress better throughout the day.

Second, if you’re feeling particularly stressed, try hiding away in a room and burning one of these Sprinkles scents:

  • Hope Berry Chamomile
  • True Lavender
  • Relax - Lavender Vanilla
  • Stress Relief - Mint and Eucalyptus

Certain scents have been shown to be particularly soothing and can help bring peace and calm to your body and mind.

Finally, get it out. When stressed, don’t feel as though you have to hold it all in. Call up someone and vent or take the time to write down what you’re feeling in a journal or a letter to the person causing your frustrations. No need to mail that letter—you can burn it or trash it. Just getting your feelings down on paper will be a huge source of stress relief.
