Prepare Your Home for the Thanksgiving Holidays | Sandi Parkey Pink Zebra Independent Consultant

Can you believe that Thanksgiving is right around the corner? Is it your turn to host Thanksgiving dinner for your friends and family?

Take a note from my book as a Pink Zebra consultant to learn how you can throw the Thanksgiving dinner of the century!

Let’s take a look at ways you can conquer your to-do list this November in order to make sure everything is ready to go by Thanksgiving:

Is Your Sink Ready for Thanksgiving Dinner?

Think about how much cooking you are going to be doing for Thanksgiving. There is going to be a lot of peeling of potatoes and carrots, as well as the pulling of bones from the turkey. This is a lot of stuff that could be going through your kitchen sink.

Therefore, you want to make sure your plumbing is ready to go and plumbing issues do not arise when preparing Thanksgiving dinner. The last thing you need to worry about is clogged pipes, especially when you have a handful of guests staying with you for the holiday!

Are Your Rooms Prepared?

Before your guests arrive, you want to make sure you know where each person is staying at your home. Do you have a guest room? Are you having your children share a room so a guest can stay in one of their rooms?

Either way, you want to make sure there are clean sheets on the bed, as well as clean towels and extra toiletries in the bathrooms in case your guests forgot something while packing for the trip.

By having a plan in place for sleeping arrangements while guests are in town for the holidays, you are less likely to stress about where everyone will be staying when they arrive.

Are You Ready to Set the Table?

While there are a few things you cannot prepare for when celebrating Thanksgiving, you can go ahead and tackle the holiday table.

You can even invite your guests to help, if you wish! Or you can have it decorated by the time guests arrive (even if it is a few days early) to get them excited about the upcoming meal!
