Trade a Date Night Out for a Date Night In... | Sandi Parkey Pink Zebra Independent Consultant
As women, we are extremely busy on a day-to-day basis. Whether you are a Pink Zebra consultant, a stay-at-home mom or a career woman, there are a number of tasks on your plate, which can put spending time with your partner on the back burner.
But it doesn’t have to be that way! There are easy ways to carve out time for you and your love so that you can keep the spark alive.
One such way? A date night in the comfort of your own home. Let’s explore some ideas for making it happen!
Separate Dinner Spaces
Family dinners are extremely important, so this idea is definitely not for every night. But, what if once a week, you host a dinner for your kids in the kitchen while you and your love dine in the dining room? (I know, that’s a novel idea!)
While the kids can see it as an adventure and their own time without the parents, the two of you can have the enjoyment of an adult-only meal for just the two of you. Set the stage by having your favorite Sprinkles recipe burning while enjoying a delicious meal that your kids wouldn’t like to have anyway.
Nothing Beats Pizza and a Movie
Is there a movie you have been wanting to see that is finally on Netflix or On Demand? Order some pizza and have a movie date night with your love!
While you and your love are enjoying pizza and a movie in bed, your kiddos can be enjoying their own sleepover in the playroom. That’ll keep them occupied and having fun, while you are able to spend some quality time with your partner.
Wake Up for Quality Time
The longer the day goes on, the more excuses you can find for not being able to have a date night. Therefore, turn date night into date morning!
Wake up an hour early once a week to enjoy a breakfast just the two of you! While the kids are still sleeping, you can use this time to enjoy breakfast in bed or even sit on the porch with a cup of coffee watching the sun rise. How romantic is that?
Then, no matter what happens during the day, you have had quality time with your love!
