Small Home Updates With Big Impact | Sandi Parkey Pink Zebra Independent Consultant
Do you not really have plans to take a summer vacation? Has it been awhile since you last gave your home an updated look?
I want to offer you tips on how you can give your home a fresh, new look this summer without breaking the bank! Let’s take a look at a few ideas:
Make a Switch
You don’t have to do an overhaul of a room in order to see a change! In fact, small changes can make a big difference when it comes to the home decor in any room.
For instance, one easy update you can make to your home that is inexpensive is replacing the hardware. By just changing out the handles and knobs on cabinets and doors, you can transform the look of an entire room and you didn’t even have to paint!
The same is true when making changes to outlet covers and light switch plates. Especially if you have lived in your home for a few years, the color of outlet and light switch plates can diminish. Therefore, by making a switch to new ones, you can make your home feel more fresh and clean!
Look Down for Inspiration
When was the last time you paid any attention to your floors? There are a number of ways you can show your flooring some TLC without spending an arm and a leg.
Of course, one of the easiest ways to change up the flooring in any room is by adding a rug! However, the use of peel and stick flooring can also help add a different look to a room without it costing a fortune.
Paint the Town Red
Well, maybe you don’t want to paint your home red, but adding color can certainly give your home that fresh, new look you were going for!
Whether you paint just one room or all of them, consider having a flow of colors from room to room so that each room is unique but also ties in to the others.
If painting entire rooms seems overwhelming, then consider adding an accent wall in a few rooms to jazz things up!
