To say life has been stressful lately is probably an understatement. 2020 has certainly handed us all some obstacles in such a short period of time—and it is only April!

However, we shouldn’t let these challenges that we face blur out all the good that is happening in our lives. We must learn to embrace the chaos by staying positive and controlling what we can when it comes to the cards we have been dealt.

Therefore, during this time, I thought it would be best to discuss some ways I practice self-care and manage stress so that when I am handed a bunch of lemons in life, I am able to make a delicious glass of lemonade!

Think Positive Over Negative

It is much easier to go to the dark side when it comes to bad things happening in life. However, when there is something bad that happens, it can be looked at in a positive way.

For instance, when social distancing became a thing over the last few weeks, it could have been something we all started to stress and panic about. However, it could also be viewed as the time and respite we needed to just stop and be with our loved ones and ourselves.

We all can get so busy in life that we forget what is most important to us—our health and our loved ones.

Therefore, let’s take a look at ways you can live your best life this spring while take the stress out of your days:

  • Get outside more.
  • Take time for exercise.
  • Have lunch outside.
  • Make time to garden.
  • Start a new business venture. (Hint, hint!)
